On Saturday 15th my own mother was attacked without reason by some drugged up "gang". The gang was mostly adults but did feature a young teenage girl (who did not attack and stayed behind to look after a six-year-old and a young baby in a pram!) and a young lad of about fifteen years of age. What kind of impression is that for children to witness? Do they need to see their parents jacking up on heroin and attacking women at random? What kind of life is that?

Has the social morale sunk so low that those originally most respected have now become the villainy of streets that descend to euphoric insanity and commit the pathetic depravities that are degrading the moral structure of a town that once stood proud as a safe haven for those wishing simply to get on with life and make the best of it? Has the maternal instinct so loosened that mothers feel it prudent to perpetuate the madness that infects our streets and threatens our homes?

Police have been investigating and we're hoping that justice is served. But the true justice would be to see those children taken from such vilest of parents and given a place they could develop into good, sociable, people who could benefit this society rather than break it down with a punch or an injection at a time?

Thanks to those ruffian scum by mother's face is now permanently scarred. Perhaps it simply reflects what these people are; a permanent blemish on the otherwise honourable face of our world.
